What a month--er--several weeks?! With heavy hearts and heavier luggage, Dave and I have returned to Canada. The Great White North! And we have brought the Garden with us. Many of your beloved friends, particularly Stumpy, Speedy and Gryffyth, have been snuggling deep in my sweater drawer and making lots of noise about the chilly weather and the fog. Meanwhile, the rest of us have been busy unpacking and settling into the new garden. Okay, maybe not Oscar and Aspen. As you can see, they've been busy finding the best places to nap... But as always, we have not been idle! You'll have noted we had two releases this spring. Shell Yeah!: a New Shell for Heywood and the more recent Poppy Puffin's Pastries have both hit the ground running and we've loved the comments and story shares we've been receiving! There's a strong story coming this fall for the Early Chapter book or younger Middle Grade crowd featuring a boastful polar bear and a snowy owl in a story standoff for the ages! Can't say too much more, as it is currently a part of a competition for unpublished works but when that's over we are going full bore on getting that sorted for you! We've also been examining our new coastal surroundings because we, of course, never get too far from a beach with crabs, lobster, birds, fish, and octopi to occupy our imaginations. My desktopus, Deskster, has been happily dreaming of a story with his name on it. That may not happen but his explorations have made it to the sketchbook! Now we still have some major hurdles to catch up on in the next few weeks like repainting a couple of rooms, locating desks for both Dave and I, and finding some bookshelves.
Without bookshelves, is it really a home? Watch this page for more updates!
